A complete, private, do-it-yourself retirement and budget workbook built for one person — projections, Social Security, RMDs, Roth conversions, and stress tests.
Retirement Navigator — Individual Edition helps you organize your finances, project whether your savings will last, and make confident decisions about Social Security, taxes, and withdrawals — all in one private workbook.
Work through the foundation tabs (net worth, cash flow, spending plan, emergency fund, debt, investments), enter your Social Security estimate from ssa.gov, and watch the Dashboard update: your Retirement Readiness, portfolio outlook, and Monte Carlo success rate, calculated automatically.
An included Example Plan shows you what a completed retirement strategy looks like before you enter a single number of your own.

Where you stand: your snapshot, the active plan scenario, and a readiness status that updates as the workbook fills in.
Figures shown are sample data, not your numbers.
Benefits
Foundation tabs pull your whole financial life into one place, and the dashboard turns it into answers: where you stand, and what to do next.
The Monte Carlo stress test runs your retirement through hundreds of market scenarios so you know how sturdy the plan really is.
Sensible defaults are provided for every assumption. Enter what you know now and refine as you go — the quick start takes about ten minutes.
Honest fit matters more to us than a sale — ask us before you buy and we'll tell you straight.

Questions
Yes. The earlier you start, the more options the projection reveals — though if your focus is day-to-day money and debt, Budget & Debt Navigator may be the better first step.
No. Everything is pre-built — formulas, charts, and dashboards are ready to go. You only type into clearly marked input cells (they’re highlighted), and a Welcome tab walks you through setup in about ten minutes.
Yes. The workbook is a standard Excel file (.xlsx) that works on Mac, Windows, and Excel for the web. Microsoft 365 is recommended for the best experience.
The workbooks are designed and tested for Microsoft Excel. Google Sheets can import .xlsx files, but some advanced formulas and charts may not convert perfectly, so we don’t officially support Sheets at this time.
Completely. This is a file you own, on your computer. There’s no account, no cloud sync, and no data collection — your numbers never leave the workbook.
Because these are digital files with immediate access, purchases are generally non-refundable once downloaded. If you hit a technical issue or a broken formula, email us within 30 days and we'll make it right.
