The complete budget & retirement planning system for couples planning retirement together after 50 — private, powerful, and jargon-free.
Retirement Navigator — Couples Edition is a complete, private, do-it-yourself retirement and budgeting system built for two. It's designed for couples planning retirement together after age 50 — without a subscription, without handing your financial data to an app, and without a finance degree.
Enter both spouses' details once, and the workbook projects whether your combined savings, Social Security, and pensions will support your retirement lifestyle through your 90s. Model Social Security claiming strategies, Required Minimum Distributions, Roth conversion opportunities, and healthcare costs — then stress-test the whole plan against market downturns.
Every figure lives in one private file on your computer. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Features
Benefits
Instead of two separate calculators and a guess, both spouses' Social Security, pensions, and accounts flow into a single joint projection you can actually talk through together.
Will the money last? The projection shows your savings year by year — and the stress tests show how the plan holds up when markets don't cooperate.
No account, no app, no data sharing. Your numbers stay in a file you own, on your computer.
Honest fit matters more to us than a sale — that's what the 30-day guarantee is for.

Questions
The Couples Edition plans for two: both spouses' birthdates, retirement ages, Social Security benefits, and pensions feed one joint projection, so you can coordinate claiming ages and withdrawals as a household.
Tax brackets, IRMAA thresholds, and RMD tables reflect the year the workbook was built. We recommend a quick annual check against current IRS and SSA guidance — and updates within version 1.x are free.
No. Everything is pre-built — formulas, charts, and dashboards are ready to go. You only type into clearly marked input cells (they’re highlighted), and a Welcome tab walks you through setup in about ten minutes.
Yes. The workbook is a standard Excel file (.xlsx) that works on Mac, Windows, and Excel for the web. Microsoft 365 is recommended for the best experience.
The workbooks are designed and tested for Microsoft Excel. Google Sheets can import .xlsx files, but some advanced formulas and charts may not convert perfectly, so we don’t officially support Sheets at this time.
Completely. This is a file you own, on your computer. There’s no account, no cloud sync, and no data collection — your numbers never leave the workbook.
Every purchase includes a 30-day money-back guarantee. Email us and we’ll refund you — no hoops.
